Study Shows Most Travelers Need More Sleep

CHARLOTTE (July 13, 2005)  -  About half of all of respondents to a national survey said they get only six or less hours of sleep per night while traveling, according to a study of 1,000 U.S. households commissioned  by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Travelers – and others – need at least eight hours of sleep to function at peak performance.

Hilton wants its uptown Charlotte customers to get more rest.  Because of that, the Hilton Charlotte Center City recently completed the installation of Hilton’s new Suite Dreams bedding program in all 407 guest rooms.  The Suite Dreams bed was designed for the utmost in comfort, and to provide a deep restful slumber, allowing you to awake refreshed and renewed, ready to achieve your maximum productivity while traveling. 

“Hilton is dedicated to the entire sleep experience, focusing on the comfort and productivity of our guests so they can achieve their goals while traveling for business or pleasure,” said Greg Greenawalt, the hotel’s Director of Sales & Marketing.

The Suite Dreams bed consists of ……

· The Serta Perfect Sleeper Suite Dreams mattress and box springs.  This special plush top mattress is custom designed with a continuous support system that provides added coil support particularly in the center of the bed where the most weight is concentrated.  The innovative patented quilt design reduces tossing and turning to help improve circulation while sleeping.

· The Super topper Mattress Pad which offers eight times the fill of a normal mattress pad to deliver added comfort.

· Fine European style imperial stripped executive sheeting, featuring 250 thread count linens.

· The Pacific Coast feather down duvet offering year round comfort.  The duvet was designed extra long to fit the deep mattress of the Perfect Sleeper Suite Dreams bed.

· Four “Touch of Down” pillows on all double beds and five “Touch of Down” pillows for king size beds.  The “Touch of Down” pillow has an outer chamber with hyper clean down and an inner chamber that consists of 95% small whole feathers and 5% goose down.
